MODALITIES

Here is a list of my commonly used therapeutic modalities. Each session is tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a highly researched and clinically effective tool to help people recover from trauma and PTSD. Designed to resolve unprocessed memories, EMDR facilitates the natural healing process in the brain. EMDR often requires fewer sessions and involves minimal talking.

Somatic Attachment Therapy

Somatic attachment therapy helps bring our body back and restore the mindbody disruption that occurs with attachment trauma. Using words or psychoeducation can lead to incomplete healing as changes need to happen in the body and at the cellular level. Somatic attachment therapy helps restore one's ability to form healthy relationships and thrive in all relationships.

3

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is an evidence-based therapeutic modality that helps one heal protective and wounded inner parts. IFS sees each human being as being comprised of protective parts, wounded parts, and Self. Just like in a family, each part learns to play different roles, sometimes extreme roles. To heal, Self is accessed and the protective and wounded parts are healed, creating more inner and outer connectedness.

Strengths-Based Therapy

Strengths based therapy focuses on internal strengths rather than on weaknesses or shortcomings. By tapping into one's own strengths and resourcefulness, one can increase resilience and change perspective to be more positive.
